WILDWOOD SEEKING REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR BACK BAY REDEVELOPEMNT

WILDWOOD, NJ The City of Wildwood is inviting qualified development firms to submit propsals for theredevelopment of City-owned property located at 525 W. Spicer Avenue, a 3.42 acre parcel identified on the Official TaxMap as Block 150, Lot 1 (the “Redevelopment Site”).

At the Wednesday, July 8, 2026 City of Wildwood Board of Commissioners Meeting, Resolution 297-7-26 was adopted,authorizing the advertisement of the Notice to Developers.  This solicitation is available on the City of Wildwood website and Noticed was posted on July 9, 2026.

The City is seeking qualifications and conceptual proposals from development firms to be appointed as redeveloperspursuant to the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq.). The City will evaluate responsesbased on the respondent’s experience, capability, and ability to responsibly deliver a redevelopment project that alignswith the goals and vision of the adopted Redevelopment Plan for the site.

The City intends to consider real estate development options that are consistent with the Redevelopment Plan’s intentand objectives. The City emphasizes that the Redevelopment Plan may be amended based on the proposal(s) received,and that varying development options, including those not expressly contemplated by the Redevelopment plan, will be considered.

The selected redeveloper will be expected to manage all aspects of development, including, but not limited to: utilities, water, sewerage, permitting, licensure, and other necessary infrastructure. Proposed projects must demonstrate that thedevelopment team can execute complex, multi-phase redevelopment work and coordinate required approvals andinfrastructure improvements.

Responses must be complete and submitted by the deadline of August 25, 2026 at 3:30 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted. The complete Notice to Developer abd Request for Qulifications is available at www.wildwoodnj.gov  or at the City Clerk’s Office 4400 New Jersey Avenue Wildwood, New Jersey.
