CITY OF WILDWOOD– EVENTS UPDATE/WEATHER CONDITIONS

The Governor has issued a State of Emergency for all shore counties. Due to the State of Emergency, The City of Wildwood has ceased all outdoor special events occurring this weekend, Saturday, September, 26 through Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The National Weather Service High Wind Warning remains in effect for our area. A wind advisory currently calls for Northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph with gust up to 45 mph, followed by expected North winds of 30 to 40 mph with guest up to 60 mph. The High Wind Warning is in effect from 6pm tonight Friday through 6 am EDT on Sunday September 27th. A Costal Flood Warning remains in effect until 2:00PM EDT Sunday, September 26, 2026.

We recognize the impact these changes have on special events however public safety concerns must take priority. We appreciate our Event Producers, our Emergency Management Operations and all Public Safety personnel, our business community, residents and tourist for their cooperation and understanding.
